  • Areopagus Bible Study: Kings and Kingdoms–A study for university students on the Book of Daniel that meets Tuesdays at 7:05 p.m. at Trinity Christian Reformed Church. 
  • Student Dinners–Join us for one of our monthly dinners, held on Sunday evenings at 6:00PM at Helfers’ home (223 Hilltop Road, Ames, IA 5014).  Enjoy fun, food, and community. Dates for this semester: August 30, September 27, and October 25. 
  • Food at First–Volunteer with us as we prepare and distribute meals to the community. Dates TBD. 
  • Coffee, Tea, and English–Informal conversational English program with international students. Great way to connect with students and families from around the world. Fridays at 4:30PM in the Gerdin Business Building (Time/Date tentative to change). 
  • In addition to all regular programming, Areopagus’ ministry director, Tyler Helfers, is available for one-on-one meetings over coffee or lunch.  Send an email ( if you would like to meet.


Welcome Luncheon
Everyone is invited to join  us on Sunday, August 16 as we welcome back all our students for a new academic year with outdoor worship and a lunch on the lawn. Among other things, this a great opportunity to connect with new and returning ISU students and to welcome any new families that may join us. Worship begins at 9:30AM with boxed lunches distributed afterwards.
